A LITTLE FIELD GUIDE

Welcome to Elsewhere.

Visit five gold beacons, in order. Click anywhere inside the chart to set a bearing, or use A / D to turn. Hold W or Thrust to move; hold S to brake. The “Aim” button points toward your next beacon without moving you.

This is a Poincaré disk: straight travel follows circular arcs that meet the rim at right angles. The rim is infinitely far away. A beacon’s glowing ring always has the same hyperbolic radius, even when it looks small.

Space / Pulse previews your current geodesic and emits harmless lights. P pauses. Each flight has five arrivals and a local best travelled distance. There is no time limit.

Based on Nick Barry’s MIT Hyperbolic Canvas spaceship demo. An approximate floating-point visualization, not a precision navigation instrument.
